Delivery/Assessment Mode
Blended delivery approach consisting of self-paced and face-to-face workshops/sessions.
The self-paced learning will involve: reading, researching, writing and answering questions from the assessment. Each participant would need to allocate 4hours per week to work on their studies and completing assessment workbooks over the 32 weeks.
The face-to-face sessions will consist of 2 days per week over 33 weeks in a classroom environment which entails 7.5 hours per day. The assessment will involve questions and answers, role play, completing projects and performing activities to demonstrate competence.
There will be access to premises of a construction site including all tools, materials and equipment to perform practical activities over the training period. This is to ensure participants are provided sufficient time to fully absorb the required knowledge, and to develop skills over time, in the different contexts that they would experience in the workplace.
Recognition of prior learning and/or credit transfers
Previous completion of units at the TAFE or any other Registered Training Organisation and/or previous attainment of skills and knowledge may be credited towards these skills set. Units must satisfy the completion rules of the qualification and be assessed as appropriate by ECB.
Learning Outcome
On completion, you will receive a certificate in RII20715 Certificate II in Civil Construction.

There will be access to premises of a construction site including all tools, materials and equipment to perform practical activities over the 17 weeks. This is to ensure participants are provided sufficient time to fully absorb the required knowledge, and to develop skills over time, in the different contexts that they would experience in the workplace.

*SITHCCC001 Use food preparation equipment and SITHCCC005 Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery have pre requisite unit requirements of SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety. The student will require to be competent in SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety prior starting SITHCCC001 Use food preparation equipment and SITHCCC005 Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery.
A set of skills to equip individuals that work as food handling personnel or food safety supervisors working in tourism, hospitality or individual who wanting to change career to work in hospitality, in using commercial kitchen equipment, hygienic practices and handling food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service, and disposal of food.
Certification requirements apply at a state and territory level to individuals involved in food handling. Certification in some states relies on the achievement of SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety.
Food safety legislative and knowledge requirements may differ across borders. In this training the SITXFSA001 unit will reflect the relevant state or territory food safety authority requirements.

Duration
9 weeks consist of: face to face / workshop sessions consisting of 7.5 hours of 2 days per week over 9 weeks.
3 hours per day of self-paced learning.
Delivery/Assessment Mode
The training will be delivered in a blended delivery mode consisting of self-paced and face-to-face and workshop sessions.
The self-paced learning will involve: reading, researching, writing and answering questions from the assessment.
Students will need to allocate 3 hours per day for self-paced learning and completing assessments.
The face to face / workshop sessions will consist of 7.5 hours of 2 days per week over 9 weeks. In the delivery and assessment sessions will involve; questions and answers, role play, presentation, completing particular projects/activities to demonstrate competence.
A commercial kitchen will be available including all tools, materials and equipment to perform practical activities.

4. PPE for the kitchen provided by ECB Training Services
5. Dress Code: Participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing for working in a functional commercial kitchen, flat, enclosed, rubber soled shoes for comfort and safety. To ensure food safety procedures are followed, long hair should be tied back, and all unnecessary jewellery removed.
Upon achievement, you will receive:
- A statement of attainment for the nationally recognised units of competency as part of the - NTS0002 Basic Skills for the Food Industry.
This skill set is suitable for those who want to become qualified to control traffic on a road site using a stop/slow bat, portable traffic signals or similar traffic control devices.
This skill set consists of 4 units of competency:
- RIIWHS201D Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
- RIICOM201D Communicate in the workplace
- RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat
- RIIWHS206 Control traffic with portable traffic control devices and temporary traffic signs.
Upon achievement, you will receive: - A statement of attainment for the nationally recognised Skill Set RIISS00054 Traffic Controller Skill Set.
This skill set is for food handling personnel working in tourism, hospitality and catering organisations with permanent or temporary kitchen premises, and smaller food preparation or bar areas. It will equip individuals for work in food handling to ensure food safety.
This sill set consists of the following unit of competency:
- SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
Upon achievement, you will receive: - A statement of attainment for the nationally recognised Skill Set - SITSS00050 Food Handling Skill Set.
This skill set will equip individuals with basic housekeeping knowledge and entry level skills to apply for roles within housekeeping and accommodation cleaning departments. It will give you an overview and understanding of housekeeping service fundamentals.
This skill set consists of 4 units of competency:
- SITHACS001 Clean premises and equipment
- SITHACS002 Provide housekeeping services to guests
- SITHACS003 Prepare rooms for guests
- SITXWHS001 Participate in safe work practices
- Upon achievement, you will receive:
- A statement of attainment for the nationally recognised Skill Set - SITSS00053 House Keeping Service Skill Set.
This course is suitable for professionals, tradespeople and others who are training or are required to train in the workplace. You will learn to provide work skill instruction, mentor in the workplace and contribute to the assessment competency in the workplace.
During the course you will:
1. Learn to contribute to the assessment process that involved in collecting evidence for assessment against units of competency or accredited courses.
2. Learn to conduct individual and group instruction, demonstrate work skills and assess the success of training and one’s own training performance, using existing learning resources in a safe and comfortable learning environment.
3. Learn to establish and develop a professional mentoring relationship with an individual in a workplace that applies to workplace supervisors or other work colleagues who work under limited supervision and who have responsibility for mentoring one or more individuals in the workplace.
