Weekend Four Wheel driving Experience
ECB Training Services offers you and your family a camping getaway like no other. Take up to four people in your vehicle and get away for the weekend.
The tour starts at our training centre on Friday afternoon where you will learn the basics of four wheel drive safety, maintenance and understanding of how to manage your machine. We will practice conducting pre-start inspections, changing of tyres and preparing for the long journey ahead.
Overnighting in the training centre around a camp fire, we recommend you bring tents or swags, or if you really want to live it up, bring an off-road camper trailer, we'll sit around and get to know each other over a cold beverage and burnt marshmallows on the fire.
We start the Saturday morning with an early breakfast, conduct a pre-start on the vehicles, then head out to our first location. When we arrive, we determine the order of travel and ensure the communication processes that we have organised are working. By Saturday evening, we will have covered many kilometres and be ready to have a well earned break. We set up camp, have a camp cooked dinner and talk about our day. Following a few cold beverages and a couple more marshmallows, we head in for a well earned rest.
Sunday morning comes around, breakfast of champions cooked over the fire (BBQ if fire restriction in place), pre-start our vehicles and head back to base. When we arrive back at the training facility, we complete a debrief, ensure our equipment is is all put away, issue you certificates for the course you have conducted and say farewell to each other before heading back to our real lives on Monday morning.
During this time, you will learn how plan for short and long trips with minimal impact upon the environment, operate your vehicle in metropolitan and regional settings, carry out recovery of vehicles and carry out basic maintenance.
Upon the completion of this course, all licenced personnel who complete the course work will be awarded the national unit of competency of:
