Achievement of this course provides credit towards qualifications in the UET Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package.
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This course applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.
Upon the completion of this training, you will be awarded the national qualification of:

This course provides the performance of rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.
The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace subject to regulations for undertaking of electrical work.
Other conditions may apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this unit.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies and rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions..
The course applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Upon the completion of this training, you will be awarded the national qualification of:

Emergency Services Qualifications
This is a qualification for fire protection technicians responsible for non-trade installation and regular servicing of fire protection equipment and systems.
Fire protection technicians may specialise in activities relating to certain groups of equipment or systems, such as:
- inspecting and testing fire protection equipment in the field
- maintaining, testing and refilling extinguishers in the workshop
- inspecting, testing and maintaining pre-engineered fire-suppression systems
- inspecting and testing water-based fire-suppression systems
- inspecting, testing and maintaining gaseous fire-suppression systems
- inspecting, testing and maintaining passive fire and smoke containment products and systems
- inspecting and testing fire detection and warning systems
- recovering, reclaiming, filling and storing scheduled gaseous fire-extinguishing agents.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to fire protection inspection and testing in some states and territories. For further information, check with the relevant regulatory authority.
