Foundation Skills Training Package qualifications may not be listed as an entry requirement for vocational qualifications.

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals working in the resources and infrastructure industries who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes.

This is a pathway qualification and that prepares individuals to:

• successfully undertake a Certificate III from the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.
• develops the introductory skills to understand the needs of working in the resources sector.

Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform minor maintenance and repair of an automotive vehicle body. The range of technical skills and knowledge is limited.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform relating to:

• identifying and inspecting mechanical and electrical components.
• identifying and inspecting mechanical systems of light vehicles.
• conduct servicing and repairs on bicycles.
• introduce the basic understandings for working with outboard motors.
